Anna Andreu

Born in 1988 in Sant Quirze del Vallès, Catalonia, Anna Andreu develops a sober folk-pop writing centered on the voice, the guitar and discreet arrangements that bring her closer to an intimate song with acoustic contours. Before her solo career, Anna Andreu was part of the duo Cálido Home, then opens a new chapter with Els mals costums in 2020. This first album lays the foundations of a Catalan repertoire where the precision of the lyrics, the melodic spareness and a restrained tension occupy a central place. She continues in this direction with La mida in 2022, then Vigília in 2025, refining an aesthetic that blends folk, singer-songwriter and minimalist pop. In this long-running project, the presence of the musician Marina Arrufat, with whom Anna Andreu regularly collaborates on stage and in the studio, as well as that of the producer and multi-instrumentalist Jordi Matas, contribute to the sonic continuity of her records. Active on the Catalan and Spanish scene, Anna Andreu belongs to a generation of female singer-songwriters who privilege pared-down formats and direct interpretation, without seeking emphasis.
