Bandabardò
Formed in Florence in 1993 around Erriquez and Finaz, Bandabardò developed in the Italian live circuit before establishing a discography that spans folk-rock, the Italian song tradition, ska and Mediterranean influences. Bandabardò operates as a collective, where acoustic guitars, a rock pulse, offbeat rhythms and vocal harmonies occupy a central place, with a direct songwriting style marked as much by stage energy as by a popular sensibility. This trajectory took shape on Il circo mangione (1996), Iniziali bì-bì (1998), Mojito Football Club (2001), Bondo! Bondo! (2004) and Ottavio (2008), albums that accompanied the widening of their audience in clubs, festivals and alternative venues across Italy. While retaining that festive folk base, Bandabardò gradually incorporated more electric colours and broader arrangements, while remaining committed to an acoustic, collective aesthetic. After Erriquez’s death in 2021, Bandabardò continued its activity, extending a story tied from the outset to the Tuscan independent scene and to their work on stage.
