La Bomba de Tiempo

In Buenos Aires, La Bomba de Tiempo brings together a large ensemble of percussionists around a principle of real-time improvisation, led on stage by a system of signals that organizes entrances, breaks and rhythmic variations. The project is rooted in an aesthetic entirely focused on percussion, collective playing and the energy of live performance, with pieces that are built over the course of the concert in interaction with the audience. La Bomba de Tiempo has carved out a unique place in the cultural life of Buenos Aires thanks to its regular Monday night slot at the Ciudad Cultural Konex, a format that has enduringly linked the group to the city's scene. At the same time, La Bomba de Tiempo has toured several South American countries — notably Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay and Uruguay — as well as Europe, with dates in Barcelona, Madrid, Berlin, London, Brussels, Amsterdam and Dublin. The Argentine collective has also shared the stage with artists from diverse backgrounds, from rock to Latin American rap, and opened for a Carlos Santana presentation in the United Arab Emirates.
