Larry Houl

Based in Paris, Larry Houl has been developing since the mid-2010s a project that sits between vocal house, modern disco, funk and electronic soul. As singer, producer and DJ, Larry Houl builds a flexible, warm club sound driven by crisp grooves, rounded basslines and a prominent role for the voice, which lies at the heart of both his tracks and his collaborations. His path also includes Secret Value Orchestra, a group for which he was one of the faces and the lead vocalist, before moving on to a solo career with EPs and singles. Within the French and European house scene, Larry Houl has worked with producers such as Demuja, Jean Tonique, Oden & Fatzo and Georges, in a vein that links disco-funk heritage to a more contemporary dancefloor writing. Alongside his productions, Larry Houl regularly appears as a DJ, in a format consistent with his studio work — between soulful house, electronic accents and a direct melodic sensibility.
