Com Truise

Under the name Com Truise, Seth Haley has been developing since the late 2000s an electronic project born in Madison County, New York, nourished by synthwave, chillwave, and an aesthetic inspired by the textures of analog gear and the imagery of 1980s science fiction. Before adopting this pseudonym, he released music under other names such as Sarin Sunday, SYSTM, and Airliner. Com Truise emerged in 2010 with the Cyanide Sisters EP, initially distributed on AMDISCS and then reissued in 2011 by Ghostly International, a label with which he has since been associated. His debut album Galactic Melt appeared in 2011, followed by In Decay in 2012, Iteration in 2017, and Persuasion System in 2019. Com Truise's music rests on tempos often tempered, thick melodic lines, dry drums, and a repetition work that moves his tracks toward a form of contemplative electro, between slowed funk, ambient, and instrumental synth-pop. On stage as in the studio, Com Truise operates in a register where live electronic crosses club culture without being limited to it, and his career also includes remixes, notably for Daft Punk around Tron: Legacy Reconfigured.
