SPYAIR

Formed in Nagoya in 2005, SPYAIR first built itself outside the traditional circuits by playing numerous street concerts in the Sakae district, an experience that has permanently shaped its relationship to the stage and to songwriting. The Japanese group, now composed of UZ, MOMIKEN, KENTA and singer YOSUKE, develops a rock that blends alternative rock, hard rock, pop rock and heavier tones from loud rock, with direct choruses and a strong sense of melodic efficiency. After independent releases such as Can You Listen? in 2007 and alive in 2008, SPYAIR transitioned to the national format with the single Japaniication in 2009, then began on a major label in 2010 with LIAR. Over the years, SPYAIR established its trajectory between tours, large outdoor concerts and anime theme songs, notably linked to Bleach, Gintama, Haikyu!! or Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. Among its notable albums are Rockin’ the World (2011), Just Do It (2012), MILLION (2013), 4 (2015), KINGDOM (2017) and UNITE (2021). In 2022, the departure of singer IKE opened a transition phase, before the arrival of YOSUKE in 2023 following a public audition. This new configuration relaunched SPYAIR with RE-BIRTH in 2023, the EP Orange in 2024 and an active resumption of tours in Japan as well as in Asia.
