B2K
Formed in Los Angeles in the late 1990s, B2K brought together Omarion, Lil’ Fizz, J-Boog and Raz-B around a contemporary R&B marked by teen pop, highly melodic choruses and a strong emphasis on choreography, with hip-hop touches in Lil’ Fizz’s writing and flow. The group emerged in the early 2000s with the single 'Uh Huh', then followed with the album B2K in 2002, and in the same year Santa Hooked Me Up, before Pandemonium! in 2002 according to Discogs and common streaming platforms. In this repertoire, B2K alternates sentimental ballads, mid-tempo R&B, and club-oriented tracks, in an aesthetic directly linked to the American teen R&B scene of the era. Their trajectory also included the Scream Tour circuit and the film You Got Served in 2004, which extended the quartet's highly performative image. After their separation that same year, each member pursued solo activities in music, film or television, before reforming for The Millennium Tour in 2019. B2K remains associated with a specific period of American mainstream R&B, between vocal harmonies, clip culture and the energy of a boy band.
