Parviz

Based in London and connected to a path between Iran and the United Kingdom, Parviz is developing a project that blends indie rock, psychedelia and synth-pop in a lo-fi form with nostalgic contours. His music relies on bright guitars, deliberately detuned keyboards and dreamy textures that reference as much the DIY aesthetic as a Persian sonic memory. Parviz places this work in explicit dialogue with Iranian pop from before the 1979 revolution, not aiming to reconstruct it, but moving it toward a contemporary language. The track "Tangerine," available on Bandcamp, offers a first glimpse of this floating, melodic writing. His debut album, Parviz, slated for 2025, extends this approach by drawing on the spirit of Iran’s 1970s scene. The single "Azadeh," a feminine name associated with the idea of independence, echoes the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement, with visuals signed Rana Fadavi. Through this repertoire, Parviz links cultural references, pop sensibility and psychedelic moods in an intimate format where melody remains central.
