Sarcator

Formed in Trollhättan in western Sweden, Sarcator belongs to a recent generation of Scandinavian extreme metal, with a sound that blends black metal, thrash and death metal into fast, dark and tightly arranged compositions. The quartet released its first demo, Visions of Purgatory, in 2019 on Redefining Darkness Records, while its members were still very young. In 2020 Sarcator followed up with the self-titled album Sarcator, again on Redefining Darkness, a first full-length that earned them a nomination for P3 Guld in the rock/metal category in Sweden. In 2022 they released Alkahest on Black Lion Records, where the writing became denser without abandoning the blackened-thrash foundation of biting riffs, driving tempos and bleak atmospheres. Initially studio-focused, Sarcator later expanded their live activity with concerts that extend this direct, tense aesthetic, and they announced a third album via Century Media for 2025.
