Maddox Batson

Born in 2009 in Hermitage, Tennessee, and later based in Birmingham, Alabama, Maddox Batson is a young American singer-songwriter whose sound leans toward melodic country-pop rooted in the Nashville tradition. After a knee issue sidelined him from sports in 2022, Batson turned to music with his father and began posting covers on TikTok—a pivotal step that drew the attention of managers and labels. Discovered by Prosper Entertainment, he signed with Warner Records and played his first shows in 2023 while switching to homeschooling to support his growing career. In 2024, Batson released his debut single “Tears in the River,” followed by tracks such as “I Wanna Know,” “Southbound,” “Southbound (Acoustic),” and “X’s,” establishing a world that blends introspective ballads with direct, hook-driven choruses. The year 2025 brought “I Don’t Like You Anymore,” “Girl in Green,” “God Talkin’,” “No More,” and “Coincidence,” as well as his debut EP First Dance, followed by First Dance (The After Party), both released in 2025 via Prosper and Warner. On stage, Batson has appeared at CMA Fest, the Grand Ole Opry, and on headlining and support tours, while his songwriting—shaped by influences ranging from Morgan Wallen, George Strait, and Garth Brooks to Michael Bublé, Frank Sinatra, and Playboi Carti—bridges country storytelling, pop melodic sensibility, and contemporary flair.
