Celine Cairo

Based in Amsterdam, Dutch singer-songwriter Celine Cairo develops a musical world that sits between indie pop, modern folk and atmospheric textures. Celine Cairo writes mainly in English and builds her songs around a clear vocal, guitars and pianos, often wrapped in more electronic layers and discreet rhythms. After several early short-format releases that brought her to prominence on the Dutch scene in the early 2010s, she released the album “Free Fall” in 2016, partly recorded in London with musician and producer Fink, which steered her toward more minimal, cinematic atmospheres. Since then she has focused on intimate songwriting and detailed arrangements, performing solo or with a band at venues and festivals in the Netherlands and internationally. Her recent recordings confirm a shift toward melancholic, airy pop, where the voice remains front and center while the instrumentation alternates between acoustic and subtle electronic elements.
