Maiah Manser
Based in Los Angeles after a stint in Seattle, Maiah Manser develops a project at the intersection of alternative pop, atmospheric electronics and a vocal writing approach that draws as much from ambient as from film music. A singer, producer and visual artist, Maiah Manser launched her solo career in the mid‑2010s after meeting Mary Lambert while studying, then toured as her backing vocalist on bills alongside artists such as Sam Smith, Ariana Grande and Pharrell Williams. Since then she has built a voice‑centred universe with dense arrangements, dark textures, airy soundscapes and a cinematic approach to pop. Her work also extends to scoring: she can be heard on the soundtracks of The Voyeurs, Devil in Ohio and Mayfair Witches. Between personal songs, production and visual creation, Maiah Manser develops an aesthetic where narrative sense, electronic matter and a pursuit of contrast between the organic and the artificial meet.
