Beauty School

Born in Yorkshire and rooted in Leeds’ rock scene, Beauty School was built over several years of gigs, lineup changes and collective effort before the British sextet settled on its identity. Beauty School mixes 1990s/2000s melodic emo, tense pop‑punk and straightforward alternative rock, featuring taut choruses, guitars that range from chiming to denser textures and lyrics that focus on the vulnerabilities of everyday life. The band initially circulated within the punk and alt‑rock networks of northern England before expanding its scope on tours alongside acts such as The Wonder Years, Hot Mulligan and State Champs, and at festivals including Slam Dunk, Download and 2000 Trees. This grassroots trajectory is evident in Beauty School’s music, which alternates between frontal energy and more introspective moments. The name Beauty School has therefore established itself at the crossroads of emo, modern pop‑punk and British alternative rock, with From Now On announced as a second album centered on grief, isolation and mental health.
