Mount Palomar
From Belfast, Neil Kerr develops Mount Palomar as an experimental electronic project conceived equally for live performance and the club. Mount Palomar’s first milestones quickly appeared on the local scene and then in Berlin, with an invitation to Berghain a few days after his first concert and four appearances at the club during his first year of activity. This early momentum placed Mount Palomar within a circuit that links techno nights, live formats and more cross-disciplinary stages. He has since shared bills with Bicep, Overmono, Joy Orbison, Blawan, Fat Dog, Maruja and Mandy, Indiana in varied settings such as Printworks London, the AVA Festival, Windmill Brixton, Fred Perry All Our Tomorrows and Other Voices. Mount Palomar’s music belongs to a tense, direct and physical strain of electronic music, where the experimental approach remains tied to dancefloor effectiveness rather than abstraction. Alongside his own releases, Neil Kerr also writes and produces for other artists, and several tracks under the Mount Palomar name have received radio airplay, notably on BBC 6 Music.
