Radio Cargo

Launched in Paris in 2021 by Jay, Radio Cargo was born in the wake of an improvised rave on the banks of the Seine, with a sound system mounted on a cargo bike, before taking its place on the post-Covid scene through a series of Parisian open-air events. Initially conceived as a collective project, Radio Cargo later evolved into a solo format, which Jay continues under this name from 2025. Its music sits within a contemporary hard house marked by trance and progressive references from the 1990s, with direct rhythms, clear crescendos and writing designed for the club. Among Radio Cargo's early releases are the EP Like You Move, released on Shall Not Fade, as well as Turn Off The Light on Stories. In 2025, Radio Cargo further refines this line with tracks like El Dorado and The Ultimate, published on Dansu Discs, while Listen To Me, a collaboration with Lost Frequencies in the same year, marks a new step in the project's development. Between rave culture, frontal energy and formats calibrated for the dancefloor, Radio Cargo sits within a generation of Parisian electronic artists attentive as much to immediate impact as to the club legacies of previous decades.
