Anacondaz

Born in Astrakhan in 2009 and based in Moscow from 2010, Anacondaz developed as a quintet format where two voices — Sergueï Karamouchkine and Artëm Khorev — blend rap, singing and band energy. The project sits at the intersection of rap-rock, alternative hip-hop, alternative rock and, at times, pop-punk, with songs that mix guitars, melodic choruses, irony and a more direct lyrical approach to social and intimate everyday life. After a first album, Smachnye nishtyaki (2009), Anacondaz established its footing with the EP Evolyutsiya (2011) and followed with Deti i raduga (2012), Bez paniki (2014) and Bayki insaidera (2015), a period in which the band secured its place on Russian rock and hip-hop stages and played both clubs and festivals. Anacondaz continued this trajectory with Vykhodi za menya (2017), Ya tebya nikogda (2018) and the EP Moi deti ne budut skuchat (2019), before Perpozvoni mne +79995771202 in 2021. Over the years the band has also collaborated with Noize MC, Tarakany!, Animal ДжаZ, Louna, Vladi, Kis-Kis and Zatotchka, while maintaining the hybrid aesthetic in which rap constantly dialogues with rock’s codes.
