Eli Nissan

Born in Netanya and based in Tel Aviv, Eli Nissan initially evolved in a rock register as guitarist and songwriter within the Israeli band Portrait before turning to electronic music. His work sits in the field of house and progressive house with melodic textures, with writing focused on slow builds, soft basslines and atmospheres sometimes close to trance without adopting its most upfront codes. Active on the international club scene, Eli Nissan since the 2010s has developed a career as producer and DJ linked to melodic and progressive house labels, with releases such as the Liquid Stars EP in 2017, the album The Last Poem in 2019, the Karnaval track in 2020 and the Casablanca EP in 2021. His sets roam between underground scenes, festivals and clubs, in an aesthetic that favors progression, harmonic detail and a continuous tension rather than immediate impact. Eli Nissan keeps in his productions a melodic approach inherited from his musician's background, which gives his repertoire a balance between club format and a more narrative construction.
