Part Time Killer

Backed by the label and collective Selected, active on the international techno scene, Part Time Killer has been developing since late 2021 a project focused on pronounced emotional contrasts, between inner tension and the search for calm. Under this name the artist shapes fast techno with emphatic rhythms, processed voices and detailed electronic textures that create a cinematic, cyberpunk-tinged atmosphere. Part Time Killer’s productions thus swing between dark, almost anxiety-inducing tracks and more melodic or sensitive passages, playing on a constant duality in composition and sound design. Before this project, Part Time Killer spent a long time at Selected as a DJ under the alias Vermeer, a duo formed with Jonas Ju and regularly involved in the label’s events. Alongside his sets and productions, Part Time Killer helps run Selected and works as a mastering engineer, while since 2022 he has been developing his own label, BLAKE Records, created to host a fast, immersive techno format that extends in the studio the aesthetic explored in his performances.
