Maël & Jonas

Pop duo formed in Germany, Maël & Jonas have been developing since the late 2010s a songwriting approach centered on English‑language songs, situated between indie pop and accessible electro‑pop. Maël & Jonas rests on a songwriting partnership in which the two musicians alternate lead vocals and backing vocals, crafting tracks driven by direct melodies, mid‑tempo rhythms and a pronounced emphasis on vocal harmonies. The project first emerged online with a series of singles released on streaming platforms before gaining wider visibility in the early 2020s through participation in The Voice of Germany, which established Maël & Jonas in the German‑language pop scene. In 2022 the duo took part in Germany's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, Germany 12 Points, with the song "I Swear to God", confirming the project's mainstream pop orientation while retaining electronic and indie touches in its production.
