Rosati

Born in Italy and based in Amsterdam, Rosati develops a techno that links the early grammars of the genre to a more contemporary club approach, with a marked taste for dry textures, direct grooves and arrangements conceived for the dancefloor. His world draws on the heritage of Detroit, the British rave and classic European techno without leaning on overt quotation. Over the course of his releases, Rosati has issued records on several underground labels, notably Dolly, SoHaSo, Voltage, Sungate, and Repetitive Rhythm Research — Clone’s techno label — which includes a collaboration with Earwax. He also collaborated with Steffi on an EP released on Dolly, an important landmark in his trajectory. Alongside his productions, Rosati performs both DJ sets and live, with a practice committed to vinyl and to a gradual, progressive shaping of tracks. Rosati also runs Global Pulse, an initiative oriented toward sober, physical and sustainable techno, consistent with his work as a producer and his place in Amsterdam’s scene.
