Hayden Pedigo

Born in 1994 in Amarillo, in the Texas Panhandle, Hayden Pedigo develops an approach to acoustic guitar that blends American primitive, fingerpicking, ambient and an avant‑garde sensibility shaped by the landscapes of West Texas. He released his first album, Seven Years Late, in 2013, followed by Five Steps in 2014, where his playing opened toward more experimental forms and a few targeted collaborations. After curating Imaginational Anthem Vol. 7 in 2015, Pedigo refined an instrumental language of clear melodies, open tunings and a strong sense of space on Do You Sing Vol. 1 (2015), Greetings from Amarillo (2017) and Valley of the Sun (2019). His career also extends beyond music: a campaign for the Amarillo city council was documented in the film Kid Candidate (2021). That same year he joined the Mexican Summer label and released Letting Go, followed by Big Tex, Here We Come with Andrew Weathers (2021), The Happiest Times I Ever Ignored (2023), Live in Amarillo, Texas (2024) and I’ll Be Waving as You Drive Away (2025). In 2025 he also released In the Earth Again with Chat Pile.
