Daisy the Great
Born in Brooklyn around the duo of Kelley Dugan and Mina Walker, who met at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Daisy the Great has developed since 2016 a songwriting approach that sits between indie pop, indie rock and folk. The band is defined by tight vocal harmonies, off‑kilter melodies and an intimate storytelling sensibility. They first drew attention with the single “The Record Player Song” in 2017, released the EP I've Got a Few Friends & I Wish They Were Mine in 2018, and the album I'm Not Getting Any Taller in 2019, which already showcased a blend of bright guitars, pop structures and sometimes quirky arrangements. The group followed with the EP Soft Songs in 2020 and broadened its palette on All You Need Is Time in 2022. In 2021 Daisy the Great reworked “Record Player” with AJR, a collaboration that gave the track wider exposure. The lineup, expanded into a fuller live ensemble around the Dugan–Walker core, toured the American indie circuit, sharing bills with AJR, Half Alive, The Kooks and The Vaccines. Daisy the Great then released the EP Spectacle: Daisy the Great vs. Tony Visconti in 2024 and the album The Rubber Teeth Talk in 2025.
