Ciao Lucifer

Born in Amsterdam, Ciao Lucifer brings together two friends who have played together since high school and, under this name, developed a duo format focused on direct, danceable and luminous indie pop. Ciao Lucifer's music moves forward on nervous guitars, supple rhythms and highly melodic choruses, in an aesthetic that borrows as much from independent pop as from a more continuous stage energy—almost conceived as an unbroken sequence. Behind that upbeat surface, Ciao Lucifer works with lyrics about everyday struggles, intimate tensions and ways of shifting them through humour, movement and pop songwriting. The project was built gradually on Dutch stages before also circulating internationally, with particular attention to the concert and the continuity of the live show, the songs often assembled as a flow. Ciao Lucifer thus sits within Amsterdam’s alternative pop scene, which favours lightweight formats, melodic efficiency and a direct relationship with the audience.
