TechnoBrass

Born out of Rio de Janeiro’s independent scene, TechnoBrass brings together a brass ensemble and a rhythm section that channel the energy of street brass bands into a realm akin to techno and club music. The collective crafts tracks built on repetitive patterns, brass-driven bass lines, and driving tempos, creating a sound in which acoustic textures replace the usual electronic elements. Active on the stages of urban parties, clubs, and festivals in Brazil and abroad, TechnoBrass has gradually established itself as a live project centered on collective trance and dance, while keeping an improvised dimension in its arrangements. The musicians of TechnoBrass adapt their lineup to the context, allowing the group to explore different intensities, from street performances to shared bills with other projects from today’s music scenes.
