Lola Kirke

Born in London and raised in New York, Lola Kirke has gradually established herself as a singer-songwriter working at the crossroads of country, folk and indie pop, alongside a notable career in film and television. After several years of writing and performing in small New York venues, she released a self-titled EP in 2016 that set out an aesthetic of narrative songwriting, spare guitars and melancholic moods. Her debut album, Heart Head West (2018), anchored her further in an intimate folk-rock vein, marked by very personal lyrics and a lo-fi approach. With Lady for Sale (2022), produced in part by Austin Jenkins, she emphasized the country and pop dimensions of her music, adopting brighter arrangements inspired by the Nashville scene and an aesthetic rooted in 1970s imagery. Between club tours, festival appearances and acting work, Lola Kirke has developed a musical project in which writing remains central, with particular attention to characters, dialogue and emotional subtlety, as an extension of her experience as an actress.
