John Lundvik

Born in London in 1983 and raised in Växjö after his family settled in Sweden, John Lundvik initially pursues an athletic path before turning to music in the early 2010s. His work is rooted in pop-soul with R&B influences, driven by direct writing and arrangements designed for both stage and television. John Lundvik first becomes known as a songwriter and composer with When You Tell the World You're Mine in 2010, then by writing for other Swedish artists and for audiovisual productions, notably the film Easy Money and the TV series Empire. In parallel, he launches his solo career with several singles before gaining visibility in the Swedish mainstream through Melodifestivalen, where he reaches the final in 2018 with My Turn. The following year, John Lundvik wins the selection with Too Late for Love and represents Sweden at Eurovision 2019, while also co-writing the British song Bigger Than Us for the same contest. His discography notably includes the EP My Turn in 2019 and the EP Välkommen jul in 2021. He then returns to Melodifestivalen with Änglavakt in 2022 and later Voice of the Silent in 2025, confirming a trajectory located between contemporary Scandinavian variety, melodic soul, and songwriting.
