BLACKGOLD

Born in Sheffield, United Kingdom, in the early 2020s, Blackgold takes the form of an anonymous project that sits in the continuum of British and American nu metal, with a sound that blends heavy guitars, hip-hop rhythm, catchy hooks and tension inherited from the 1990s and 2000s. The band emerged in 2022 with its debut album, Blackgold, which immediately establishes this direct, dense and melodic aesthetic, and continues in the same vein with Back With Another One in 2023 and Rush in 2024. Blackgold develops a masked visual identity and deliberately keeps its members’ identities vague, a choice that accompanies music centered on immediate impact, between alternative metal, rap metal and on‑stage energy. The project quickly circulates on rock and metal stages in the UK and Europe, where Blackgold fits into a new generation of bands reactivating nu metal codes without trying to overly modernize them. Their discography continues with Phone Home in 2025, confirming a coherent trajectory and a commitment to a formula where massive riffs, cadenced flow and unifying refrains stay at the center.
