Kapa Tult

Formed in Leipzig in 2018, Kapa Tult develops an indie‑pop sound with indie‑rock edges, infused with touches of Neue Deutsche Welle that the band sometimes calls “kaktus‑pop.” Centered on Inga Habiger, whose songwriting is central, Kapa Tult first made a name for themselves on the local scene before expanding their audience with the EP Meinten Sie Katapult? in 2022. The lineup, now a quartet featuring Robin Rauhut, Angela Requena Fuentes and bassist Raphael Seidel, favors direct, melodic and urgent songs where pop choruses meet a drier, more ironic tone. Kapa Tult’s lyrics are rooted in everyday situations and address relationships, precarious work, mental health and feminist issues, without rhetoric. After their debut album Es schmeckt nicht, released in 2023, Kapa Tult played numerous club and festival dates and toured as support for bands like Tocotronic, Madsen and Von Wegen Lisbeth. In 2026 they released a second album, Immer alles gleichzeitig, which continues this aesthetic between rock tension, pop formats and a clear‑eyed view of the times.
