Ele A

Born Eleonora Antognini in Sorengo, in the Swiss canton of Ticino, Ele A grew up between Aranno and Lugano in a family environment connected to music education, and first studied the cello before turning to rap. She began publishing freestyles and remixes on social media in 2020, then circulated a first physical demo, Zeroedue, in 2022, which accompanied her early stage appearances between Switzerland and Italy, with spots at festivals such as MI AMI and Sziget. Ele A’s musical language sits within a precise Italian‑language hip‑hop, nourished by jazz rap, old‑school touches and elements of drum and bass, with a clear flow, dense writing and a genuine space for melody. After the EP Globo in 2023, Ele A expanded her presence on the Italian rap scene, settled in Milan and followed up with Acqua in 2024. Her career has also been shaped by collaborations with DJ Shocca, Guè, Bassi Maestro, Joan Thiele, Cor Veleno, Mace, Sayf and Nerissima Serpe. In 2025 Ele A released Pixel, her first album, while maintaining a marked link to her Ticino roots in both her lyrics and artistic identity.
