Info
On March 9, 2027, Marika Hackman comes to the Trabendo in Paris with a concert focused on False Dogs, her fifth album. There she delves into that somewhat unsettled moment when one realises that we have grown up, that the big milestones we dreamed of as kids say little about real life, which is above all made of short joys, sorrows, anxiety, love, and everything that happens between the 'milestones'. Written, arranged and produced by herself, the record plays on the beliefs we invent and abandon, on the imaginary worlds that crack, and on the mid-thirties unease that places time, grief and the body at the centre.
On stage, her signature should take on its full breadth: a hushed voice, guitars that can both caress and scratch, and that dark blend of folk, indie rock and alternative pop that has marked her previous albums. A live show to hear how these intimate songs transform as they meet the audience.
