Info

OMD — Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark — play Kelvingrove Bandstand in Glasgow on 31 July 2026. Formed by Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys near Liverpool, the group forged a synth-pop language that blends direct melodies, classic pop structures and darker electronic textures. On stage they trace a line from their early records through Architecture & Morality and Dazzle Ships to recent work like Bauhaus Staircase (2023), supported by sequencers, drum machines and rich analog synths, with an expanded live lineup.

Expect a set that weaves early singles with newer material: Electricity, Enola Gay, Souvenir or Joan of Arc often meet The Punishment of Luxury and fresh tracks, connecting their post‑punk roots to a more contemporary production. McCluskey’s bass and voice pair with Humphreys’ keyboards and harmonies, building patterns that move from minimal pulses to more spacious hooks. Four decades of songs, adapted for the stage, carried by that steady balance between melody and circuitry that defines OMD.
