An Evening with Nik Kershaw: Musings and Lyrics

Nik Kershaw brings songs, stories and a dash of mischief to Epic Studios, Norwich, on 10 March 2027. The singer, guitarist and songwriter broke through in 1984 with a run of singles including Wouldn’t It Be Good, The Riddle and I Won’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me, and took his place on the Live Aid stage the following year. After stepping back from the spotlight, he wrote The One and Only for Chesney Hawkes and collaborated in the studio with Elton John, Lulu, Petula Clark, The Hollies, Ronan Keating, Jason Donovan, Let Loose, Sia, Imogen Heap, Gary Barlow and Bonnie Tyler.

Back on the road since the late 1990s, Kershaw has kept releasing records – 15 Minutes, To Be Frank, You’ve Got to Laugh, Ei8ht and Oxymoron – while revisiting his catalogue in acoustic and full-band formats. This intimate evening ties in with the release of his new book and opens a window on four decades of writing, recording and playing shows. Expect familiar hooks, deep cuts and the stories behind them, told up close with the dry humour that runs through his work.
