Midge Ure « A Man Of Two Worlds Tour »

On 20 November 2026 at York Barbican in York, Midge Ure brings his A Man Of Two Worlds tour. Raised near Glasgow, he first emerged with Slik and Rich Kids before diving into the new romantic scene with Visage, co‑writing Fade to Grey. At the turn of the 80s he steered Ultravox toward a taut, melodic new wave where synth textures met guitars, leaving a trail of defining tracks including Vienna, Hymn and Dancing with Tears in My Eyes. Along the way he crossed paths with Thin Lizzy and Phil Lynott, then carved a more introspective solo route across albums like The Gift, Answers to Nothing, Pure, Breathe, 10, Fragile and Orchestrated.

On stage, Ure draws a clear line through these eras, moving between electronics and stripped‑back arrangements, from band anthems to quieter solo material. Known as a songwriter, producer and collaborator, he also co‑wrote Do They Know It’s Christmas? and helped launch Band Aid, Live Aid and Live 8 — a sense of craft and purpose that still feeds his live set today.
