The Proclaimers

The Proclaimers bring their twin-voice sound to O2 Academy Glasgow on 4 December 2026. Formed in 1983 by brothers Craig and Charlie Reid, the duo forged a style where folk rock, country tones and pop hooks meet a punk-schooled energy. Tight harmonies, plainspoken writing and a proudly Scottish accent shape songs that travel easily from acoustic intimacy to the drive of a full band.

On stage, they draw deep from early landmarks This Is the Story and Sunshine on Leith, with staples like Letter from America, I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) and Sunshine on Leith, then push forward through Hit the Highway, Persevere, Life with You and the more recent Angry Cyclist and Dentures Out. Over four decades, their catalogue has balanced personal tales, social snapshots and political edges without losing a direct, melodic core. In Glasgow, expect a set that moves between close-up storytelling and broad choruses, old favourites and newer cuts, carried by those unmistakable sibling harmonies.
