The Scratch play Iveagh Gardens, Saint Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2, on 4 July 2026. Born in Dublin from former metal outfit Red Enemy, the quartet channels hardcore drive through acoustic guitars, blending Irish folk, punk, rock and a touch of metal. Rapid strumming, dry percussion and chanted harmonies give their songs a strong rhythmic backbone while keeping a song-first approach.
Their live show builds on the path from the EP Old Songs (2018) and The Whole Buzz (2019) to the albums Couldn’t Give A Rats (2020) and Mind Yourself (2023). Over time they’ve tightened collective vocals and sharpened dynamic breaks, keeping the sound direct and rough-edged, centred on the interaction between the four players. In Dublin, they roll out that balance of quick, percussive pieces and slower, chant-led moments, tracing a line from back-room videos to busy rooms across Ireland and the UK, now scaled up for a 2026 world tour.
