Info

The Mary Wallopers bring their Dundalk folk to 3Arena in Dublin on 10 December 2026. Formed by brothers Charles and Andrew Hendy with their friend Sean McKenna, the band first cut its teeth as an acoustic trio in local pubs, reworking traditional Irish ballads with close harmonies, guitar strums and banjo lines. Their repertoire blends popular tales, social snapshots and a dry sense of humour, carried by a direct, unvarnished sound.

From homemade videos to live sessions broadcast from their base in Dundalk, they gathered a community that now meets them on the road. On stage, the lineup often expands, pushing their songs toward a fuller, session-like feel without losing the intimacy of a singalong around a table. The arrangements stay lean and punchy, with voices up front and the pulse of the room setting the tempo.

After the EP A Mouthful of The Mary Wallopers (2019), the self-titled debut (2022) and Irish Rock ’n’ Roll (2023), the group keeps balancing reimagined traditionals and originals. At 3Arena, expect a run through pub airs and story songs, where banjo, guitar and chorus vocals carry the weight of the melodies while the lyrics keep one foot in folklore and the other in the present.
