On April 14, 2027, Madra Salach bring their Dublin-born folk rush to Vicar Street. Formed in 2023 and now a six-piece, the band sits right on the line between trad Irish music and contemporary songwriting, with ballads and narrative songs carried by a full-band energy rather than museum-piece reverence. Their sound comes from the stage first: built in pubs and small rooms around north Dublin, then sharpened on festival bills like All Together Now and Electric Picnic, where the tunes have to hit fast and live.
Expect a set that moves between popular airs and original songs, with traditional forms and instruments reshaped in a modern band framework. With singles like Blue & Gold and I Was Just A Boy leading into the 2026 EP It’s a Hell of an Age, this show also feels like a checkpoint before their announced 2027 album, Gorta: a chance to hear a young group stretching the tradition in real time, together and loud.
