Bernard Lavilliers

Bernard Lavilliers returns to the stage at the Zénith de Paris - La Villette on March 4 and 5, 2027. A travelling singer and a master at blending French chanson, rock and rhythms from elsewhere, he carries lyrics nourished by the road, the ports, big cities and their social histories. His deep, measured voice, his taste for expansive arrangements and the colours of the world link his various phases, from the 1970s through to his most recent recordings.

On stage, Lavilliers unfolds a narrative thread where reggae pulses meet Brazilian cadences, Caribbean echoes and touches of jazz. One recognises his singular way of drawing the audience into shifting sonic landscapes, between rugged ballads and more rhythmic numbers. Not with forced nostalgia, but with the experience of someone who has seen and sung much, he continues a repertoire that has left its mark on several generations.
