As part of the Jazz à Vienne festival, the Théâtre Antique in Vienne will host, on 26 June 2026, a bill shared by Deluxe and Too Many Zooz.
Deluxe, a French band at the crossroads of electro and hip‑hop, lays down finely honed beats, sharp brass and ear‑worm choruses. On stage, their blend of rap, singing and electronic textures takes on funk and pop inflections, with arrangements that leave room for the groove. The collective emphasizes interplay, explores polyrhythms, strings together breaks and build‑ups, and pushes its tracks toward a precise live format.
Too Many Zooz, an American trio and exponent of brass‑house, makes the baritone sax, trumpet and percussion converse over repetitive motifs and blown basslines. Their raw sound, driven by intensely physical patterns, functions like a rhythmic machine well suited to the theatre’s acoustics. Between chanted riffs and short improvisations, the group draws a clear line between jazz, funk and club culture, delivering a set with a distinct, identifiable sonic character.
