Info
On May 19, 2027, Richard Bona lands at La Seine Musicale for a concert that puts his bass at the center of the action. For him, the instrument is not just the backbone of the band: it pulses, it tells stories, it leads the dance, and it sketches melodic lines that stay in the memory. A bassist and singer born in Minta, Cameroon, Bona has forged his language between jazz and African traditions, with a groove sensibility that flirts with fusion, blues, and song. After honing his craft between Douala, Europe, and New York, and crossing paths with major jazz and world music musicians, he returns with a lineup designed for the occasion. On the program: compositions tailored for improvisation, rhythms that travel, and a live energy where virtuosity serves primarily the warmth of the collective.
