On December 2, 2026, Gang of Youths land at the Roundhouse in London with the kind of widescreen indie rock that’s built for a room like this. Formed in Sydney around songwriter and frontman David Le’aupepe, the band has always gone for songs that unfold like stories: guitars and piano driving the momentum, then space for strings and big dynamics when the emotions peak.
Since moving their orbit toward the UK in the mid-2010s, Gang of Youths have stretched their sound far beyond the straight rock setup, leaning into longer formats and dense arrangements that keep shifting shape live. From the early rush of The Positions through the more expansive Go Farther in Lightness, and into the orchestral edges of Angel in Realtime, they’ve built a set where narrative lyrics and atmosphere matter as much as volume. Expect a show that moves between tension and release, with Tom Hobden’s violin and keys adding extra weight to the band’s punch.
