Dove Ellis brings his Irish indie folk songwriting to London on 8 December 2026 at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Behind the name is Thomas O’Donoghue, a guitarist and singer who keeps things direct: acoustic-driven songs with a melodic core, but with an indie-rock edge that can open up beyond the solo format. After the DIY EP To the Sandals (2024), he picked up pace in 2025 with a run of singles including “To the Sandals”, “Love Is” and “Pale Song”, shaping a tight, contemporary take on folk built around voice, guitar and clean hooks. His debut album Blizzard, released in December 2025, stretches that approach into a fuller long-form statement without losing the intimacy that makes his writing land. Live, he’s already moved through the independent circuit, notably opening for Geese and appearing in an Other Voices session at St. James’ Church, a good snapshot of how these songs translate on stage.
