The British–Filipino singer-songwriter beabadoobee is coming to AFAS Live in Amsterdam on December 3, 2026, with The Powerlines Tour. After her UK number-one album This Is How Tomorrow Moves (2024), she opens a new chapter on this tour with Pylon, her fourth studio album, which is due to be released on September 18 through Dirty Hit and Interscope. The record owes its title to the electricity pylons along highways and railways: for Beatrice Laus, a symbol of distance, while on the road, and still staying connected.
Musically, Pylon sounds heavier and more direct than her earlier work, with guitars that nod to grunge, Midwest emo, and 1990s alternative rock. The fourteen tracks draw from diary entries and things you sometimes only dare to say out loud in hindsight; the lead single Sun Has Set already gives an early glimpse into that world. In Amsterdam she will be joined by Violet Grohl as a special guest.
