Info
Chilean singer, songwriter and producer Javiera Mena has spent over two decades shaping Spanish‑language pop with a clear electronic bent, while opening space for LGBT+ voices along the way. From Santiago to Madrid, she crafts direct melodies over sleek synths and writes with a candid, emotional edge.
Her sound moves between synth‑led anthems, intimate ballads and club‑ready rhythms, drawing on techno, house and Latin influences. On stage, these contrasts snap into tight, dance‑minded arrangements without losing her pop clarity.
Across seven studio albums, she has collaborated with Myriam Hernández, Miranda!, Moenia, Li Saumet (Bomba Estéreo) and Santiago Motorizado, a map of partnerships that mirrors her reach across Latin America and Europe.
On 30 October 2026 at Jazz Cafe, London, Mena marks 20 years of her debut Esquemas Juveniles with an anniversary set. She revisits the album’s indie pop foundations—early synths, hooks and raw guitars—through a contemporary live production, and folds in later chapters from Mena, Otra Era, Espejo and Nocturna. The result is a fluid run of early favourites, sharp electronic pop and quieter moments that trace her path from DIY beginnings to a finely honed present.
