On June 27 at Alexandra Palace in London, Empire of the Sun bring the Ask That God tour to the capital. The Australian duo of Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore push their electro-pop blend of synth, indie and dance into a new chapter, keeping that dreamlike aura that’s defined their project since the start.

On stage, expect a set that ties the staples to the new: Walking on a Dream, We Are The People, Alive and High & Low alongside fresh tracks from Ask That God. The show leans into the band’s visual identity with sculptural costumes, cinematic lighting and expansive projections, all shaped into an immersive production designed for the venue.

Since 2008, Empire of the Sun have moved from glossy synth hooks to more organic textures, and that range shows live: big choruses and layered vocals built for liftoff, then slow-burn passages that drift into something more atmospheric. More than a run-through of hits, this is their audio-visual universe staged in full, with the new album woven through the songs that made their name.
