Panchiko

Panchiko play SWG3 Glasgow on 16 October 2026. Formed in Nottingham in the late 90s, the band — Owain Llewelyn, Andy Wright and John Still — stitched dream pop shadows to shoegaze haze and lo‑fi textures, first captured on ultra-limited CD‑Rs D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L (2000) and Kicking Cars (2001). Those recordings resurfaced years later online, building a slow-burn following and leading to reissues and a second life on stage.

Back on the road since the 2020s, Panchiko have shaped a set that threads the grainy charm of their early tracks with the more defined writing of their 2023 album Failed at Math(s). Live, saturated guitars and understated electronics frame a melancholic voice, moving from blurred, drifting passages to sharper hooks without losing the patina that coloured the first demos.

This date traces the group’s arc: cult cuts from the vaults, newer songs built for the room, and that balance of haze and clarity that anchors their sound today.
