On October 18, 2027, at The Garage in Glasgow, MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS bring their Kobe-born take on noisy, melodic rock to the stage. Built around Natsuko Miyamoto’s bass and vocals, the band has long played with contrasts: sharp, taut guitars that cut through the mix, sudden rhythmic breaks with a math-rock edge, and vocal lines that keep things direct even when the sound turns dense and saturated.
Expect a set that moves between post-hardcore tension and shoegaze haze, where urgency and clarity can swap places mid-song. After early releases that helped define their signature, a pause in the early 2010s, and a return in the mid-2010s, the group has kept pushing that balance on later records like No New World, Naked Album, and Awakening: Sleeping.
