Info

On 30 September 2026 at The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, Freya Ridings takes the stage with the piano at the heart of her writing. Born in London in 1994 and partly trained at the BRIT School, she has shaped a catalogue where pop, folk and a hint of soul meet in pared-back ballads. Early singles in 2017, including Blackout and the breakthrough Lost Without You, set her direct, grounded vocal style. Live recordings and the EP You Mean the World to Me paved the way to her 2019 debut album, home to You Mean the World to Me and Castles. With Blood Orange in 2023, the production grew wider while keeping an intimate core. On stage, she moves between piano and guitar, giving space to melodies and the weight of silences.

Also on the bill, Nottingham’s Amber Run revolves around Joe Keogh, Tom Sperring and Henry Wyeth. The trio works a British indie blend of melodic guitars, keyboard textures and tight harmonies, favouring slow builds and introspective moods. After early EPs, they released 5am in 2015, followed by the darker, more electric For A Moment, I Was Lost in 2017 and Philophobia in 2019, then refined the approach on How To Be Human in 2023. Their live set shifts between atmospheric ballads and more driving tracks, a balance that underscores the emotional thread running through their songs.
