On April 2, 2027, RY X brings his finely balanced songs to Albert Hall in Manchester, somewhere between indie folk, alt-pop and discreet electronics. Born in Australia and long based between scenes, he’s built a sound that keeps things stripped back: acoustic guitar up front, subtle electronic textures underneath, and that soft, suspended voice that makes space feel wider.
Since stepping into the RY X alias in the early 2010s, he’s moved through the minimalist turn of Berlin, then the long-form arcs of Dawn, Unfurl and Blood Moon, always keeping the focus on atmosphere and melody rather than big gestures.
