On 25 September 2026 IJM Live will be at IJzeren Man Vught, in Vught, featuring Ronnie Flex and De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig.

Ronnie Flex, born in Rotterdam as Ronell Langston Plasschaert, has moved since the early 2010s with ease between nederhop (Dutch hip-hop), pop-rap and R&B. Rapped verses and sung hooks alternate over productions that draw on trap, dancehall and urban pop. After his early start as a producer he signed with Top Notch in 2012, released the EP Tankstation (2013) and the album De nacht is nog jong, net als wij voor altijd (2014) (The Night Is Still Young, Just Like Us Forever), and has collaborated with, among others, Lil’ Kleine, Frenna and the New Wave collective. With Rémi (2017) and the EP NORI (2018) he pursued a more melodic course without abandoning the rap framework. Live he moves just as comfortably between large festivals and urban venues.

De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig has been a fixture from Amsterdam since 2005: producer Bas Bron together with rappers Willie Wartaal, Vieze Fur and Faberyayo. Their breakthrough “Watskeburt?!” set the tone: wordplay, reversals and a dry absurdism that works in Dutch. That line continues on Parels Voor De Zwijnen, De Machine, De Lachende Derde, Ja, Natúúrlijk!, Manon, Luek, Anders (Different) and Moderne Manieren. Synth-driven beats meet contrasting flows, from parlando to sung choruses, with equal attention to rhythm and melody. On stage that play with language and tempo is central.
